Claudio Ranieri is expected to step in as caretaker after Roma sacked Eusebio Di Francesco, but next season Maurizio Sarri, Antonio Conte and Gian Piero Gasperini are options.
“AS Roma can confirm head coach Eusebio Di Francesco has left the club with immediate effect,” read a statement.
“The club would like to thank Eusebio for his work during his time at Roma and wish him success in the future.”

It’s widely reported Ranieri will be the caretaker manager to the end of the season, but is unlikely to stay on past June.
Ranieri is a self-confessed Giallorossi supporter, which is why he is prepared to take this short-term job to help them see out the campaign.
As for the future, several names have repeatedly been associated with the role at the Stadio Olimpico.
The list includes past and current Chelsea bosses Conte and Sarri, particularly if the ex-Napoli Coach continues to struggle getting his players to understand his style of football.
Another candidate is Atalanta tactician Gasperini, who would relish the opportunity to develop players from Roma’s youth academy.
