Portugal Coach Fernando Santos believes Inter midfielder Joao Mario “can safely play against Roma on Sunday”.
The midfielder was absent for the draw with Bologna as he had a calf injury, and it was thought he could miss the clash with the Giallorossi too.
However, with an international break to follow that match, his national team boss is sure the 23-year-old is fit.

“From the information I have, Inter can safely play him against Roma on Sunday evening,” Santos told Maisfutebol.
“My call-ups, beyond technical decisions, are also derived from information on the condition of the players I have available.
“There’s nothing to prevent me calling Joao Mario up.”
