Giuseppe Sannino has returned to Palermo after he was fired in Week 3 and concedes “we must take it day by day.”

The Coach started the season on the bench, but was axed after just three games to make way for Gian Piero Gasperini.

Since February 4 the club has fired Gasperini, brought in Alberto Malesani only to recall Gasp 19 days later.

Gasperini parted company with Palermo “by mutual consent” on Monday and Sannino was given a shock recall.

“There are 10 games and 30 points up for grabs,” Sannino told ItaSportPress.

“We must take it day by day, then see where we end up. We must concentrate only on the work that awaits us over the next two months, training session after training session, game after game.

“My predecessor is a great Coach and at this moment we must respect the man and the professional.”
