Sampdoria continue to be at the centre of takeover rumours and it’s reported the club has been valued at €120-140m.

President Massimo Ferrero has repeatedly stated there is no offer and he has no intention of selling, but the reports persist and if anything are growing.

TeleNord claim Ferrero brought in Cushman & Wakefield to go through the club assets and they found a valuation of between €120m and €140m.

This is considerably more than the reported €85m offer that was received over the last few days.

However, the mere fact of hiring a company to value the club and bringing in Mediobanca as advisors point to Samp at least being open to negotiations.

Pamplona Capital Management confirmed via a spokesman that they are not interested in purchasing Sampdoria.

However, TeleNord and La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest the Pamplona President and founder, Alex Knaster, is looking at this as a personal investment.
