Sampdoria are keeping an eye on Bulgarian Milen Gamakov of Botev Plovdiv.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Blucerchiati sent scouts to watch him in action during an Under-21 match between Bulgaria and Romania.
The 21-year-old midfielder can also play in central defence when needed.
A swoop could already be made in January to bring Gamakov to Serie A.
His contract is due to expire in June 2016 and Samp don’t want to waste time.
