Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero has revealed that Napoli want Lucas Torreira but made it clear he will only sell the midfielder for €50m.
Torreira has been linked with several top clubs in Italy and Europe after breaking through with Samp this season, and Ferrero singled out Napoli as a possible destination for the Uruguay international, while asserting he would not come cheaply.
“Torreira? Napoli understand his quality, they have a good Coach and a great President,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“They asked about Torreira, but so have other teams. How much would he cost? €50m. I don’t need to sell him, he’s fine with me. For me, he’s a phenomenon.
“Will [Coach Marco] Giampaolo stay? Certainly! We’re engaged, so we still have to figure out if we’ll get married in three years or break up in two…”
The 22-year-old plays in the same position as Partenopei rival Jorginho, who has been linked with summer moves to the Premier League.
