Salernitana have announced that another member of the matchday squad has now tested positive for COVID-19.

Their game with Udinese on Tuesday was already called off because of two players who had contracted the Coronavirus.

In a statement released this afternoon, the Serie A club confirmed that another member of the matchday squad tested positive today.

It is not clear whether this is a player or a member of staff.

The club did note that the individual had already been in quarantine anyway.

Salernitana are in the midst of a crisis, as they also risk being thrown out of Serie A if the club cannot find a new buyer by December 31.

That is because owner Claudio Lotito already runs Lazio, so the rules bar two clubs from being owned by the same person in one division.

The deadlines had repeatedly been postponed, but the FIGC warned there are no more delays available to them.
