Roma’s Antonio Rudiger says ‘God was on our side’ against Lazio and that his understanding with Kostas Manolas is ‘better than before’.
The Giallorossi ran out 4-1 winners against their city rivals on Sunday, propelling them to within four points of Napoli in second.
“I’m really happy to have won my second derby and to see the happy fans,” Rudiger told Roma Radio.
“Two derby wins in a row? I hope we can continue like this because it’s a special match and we want to win them.

“In the first half we did really well, we should’ve made it 3-0 and finished the match.
“In the second half we were lucky because Lazio created dangerous chances, but sometimes you need a bit of luck. God was on our side.
“Understanding with Manolas? It’s better than before because we know each other better and we focus more on the tactics, just like our other teammates.”
