It’s a particularly impressive result considering there were no genuine strikers in the squad for this game, as Santiago Silva and Khouma Babacar are unavailable. It also came just days after Alberto Gilardino was sold to Genoa.
“We do not need static centre-forwards. We need players who are good at movement on and off the ball,” continued Rossi.
