Italian legend Paolo Rossi was left unconvinced by Real Madrid in their 2-1 win over Juventus in the Champions League.

The Spaniards made it three wins from three last night, but Rossi, who won the European Cup with Juve as a player, has hailed the Old Lady.

“La Vecchia Signora’s defeat was not deserved,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “Real didn’t convince me, not even when they had a one-man advantage.

“The Bianconeri didn’t feel the pressure of Real and the defeat was down to some unfavourable incidents.”

Juventus have been critical of the referee who awarded Real a dubious penalty and there are also concerns over Giorgio Chiellini’s dismissal.

Meanwhile, former Juve striker Gianluca Vialli added: “Antonio Conte’s side played a good game, it was hard to do more than that in Spain.

“Paradoxically, Juve actually did better once they went down to 10 men and after Andrea Pirlo had been replaced.

“This is an unfortunate moment for Juventus.”
