Borussia Monchengladbach coach Marco Rose says ‘it’ll be a pleasure’ to face Inter in the Champions League. ‘I thought the scouting report was just highlights.’

It kicks off on Wednesday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

“I had asked my specialist scouting team to send me some material of Inter, and when I got it, I said why did you send me only the highlights? They replied, no, that’s how Inter play all the time,” commented Rose in his press conference.

“I had asked my specialist scouting team to send me some material of Inter, and when I got it, I said why did you send me only the highlights? They replied, no, that’s how Inter play all the time,” commented Rose in his press conference.

“We realised just how good our opponents are, with a great coach who knows how to get his team playing the way he wants them to. It’ll be a pleasure to face them.

“Everyone talks about Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, but I think too of Marcelo Brozovic who runs like few others, Nicolò Barella and his quality, while we know Arturo Vidal and Achraf Hakimi from the Bundesliga. It’s a fine squad.”

Inter and Borussia Monchengladbach are in the group with Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk.

“We know that there’s a lot of quality in the group, they are all experienced at international level, but we will try to make the most of our chances in every match.”
