“I do not know what will happen,” Romulo has admitted to reporters at an event at Verona’s club store this morning.

“Currently I am here, my agent is talking with both Verona and Fiorentina.

“My future will be taken care of by my agent and [Verona ds Sean] Sogliano.

“I would love to stay because Verona have given me so much, but we will see what happens.”

The Brazilian-born full-back is in line for consideration for a place in Italy’s World Cup squad, after being included in Cesare Prandelli’s group of players called up for physical preparation tests at Coverciano earlier this week.

“It was a great experience, I felt fantastic, I was welcomed by everyone.

“Can I go to the World Cup? It is still early. Now I am focused only on Verona. Prandelli will make the decision.”
