Corriere dello Sport have reported today that outgoing sporting director Walter Sabatini will attempt to bring an international quality striker before he leaves the Giallorossi.
The newspaper believes that Roma are considering a move for Batshuayi, who Sabatini has kept tabs on since he was at Standard Liege.
Roma have been following the 22-year-old’s progress for the last few months but would have to stump up €35-40m for his signature, says the report.
Corriere also believes that the Belgium international would favour a move to the Premier League, where the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Arsenal are believed to be interested.
Competition is fierce as the Lupi’s Serie A rivals Juventus have also been linked, along with Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Batshuayi has scored 13 Ligue 1 goals for Marseille in 30 games this season, as well as providing nine assists.
