According to La Repubblica, Lazio refused to renew his contract and told him he was free to find another team, expecting him to leave Italy.
Instead his agent proposed the player to Roma, and sporting director Walter Sabatini took the opportunity to offer the lad a three-year contract.
His agent Nunzio Marchione was interviewed by RomaNews.eu and did not confirm the deal, even though he said the interest was genuine.
“Seck's contract with Lazio is almost at the end,” he told RomaNews.eu. “Seck decided not to renew. He'll make his decisions in May.
“Roma are interested in the player, but let's wait until he finishes the season.
“Since he chose not to continue with the Biancocelesti, he's never been fielded except for two games with the Primavera squad. That's not Simone Inzaghi's fault, the kid is in a difficult situation.”
