There are reports Nicolò Zaniolo will be out for around a month after dislocating his shoulder during Roma’s win over Cremonese.

The Italy international fell awkwardly onto his shoulder after a clean tackle from Luka Lochoshvili circa 42 minutes into the match at the Stadio Olimpico.

He immediately called for help from the medical staff and was stretchered off after treatment.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Zaniolo was driven straight to the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome for tests and X-Rays.

The bad news is that he has dislocated his left shoulder and is expected to be out of action for three to four weeks.

There is one positive, though, namely that Zaniolo appears to have avoided fractures to the shoulder or collarbone.

He also does not require surgery to reduce the dislocation.

Zaniolo has been extremely unlucky with injuries throughout his career, already rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in both knees.

The 23-year-old tore the first ACL in January 2020, then damaged the opposite knee in September 2020.
