Roma are confident that Tottenham have not hijacked their move for Barcelona ace Bojan Krkic.

The Premiership club were rumoured to have made a late move for the youngster which raised doubts about his proposed switch to Rome.

However, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is confident that his club will win the race for his signature.

"We have a total agreement in place with the player himself," Sabatini is quoted as saying on Tuesday.

"All that is missing are a few details with Barcelona, but there will not be any problems. Things could be completed today."

It's still unclear whether Roma will sign the player outright for €10m or take him on loan with the option to buy next summer.

Bojan will turn 21 in August and has spent his entire career to date with Barcelona, firstly with the B side and then the first team.

A full Spanish international, he's been requested by new boss Luis Enrique after he left Barca B for the Giallorossi.
