Roma have confirmed that they intend to keep Fabio Borini once this season comes to an end.

The Italian Under-21 international joined the Giallorossi on deadline day last summer at a cost of €1.25m – with an option to buy outright for a further €7m.

However, in January the capital club bought a half-share in him for €2.3m as part of the deal that saw Stefano Okaka move to the Tardini.

“We will talk to Parma in June about Borini,” Giallorossi director Claudio Fenucci told Sky Sport Italia before last night’s 1-0 loss to Siena.

“We’ll look to find the best solution for us and for them.”

The 20-year-old, who joined Parma on a Bosman in the summer from Chelsea, has scored five goals in 13 Serie A games so far this season.
