The Portuguese centre-back is midway through a loan spell with the Nerazzurri, but whilst back in his home country on international duty, has cast an eye on his parent club, who this week released Paulo Fonseca as Coach.

“Porto are experiencing a complicated situation, they are not accustomed to such situations,” Rolando has commented to reporters.

“For a club that always wins, it is difficult to not be in the running for the title. I hope that they are able to get out of this situation.

“Porto are always in my heart, this is the most important thing. And they are the team that I support and that I will forever.

“In football, everything happens very quickly, there is no room for disappointment.

“I do not know where I will be in two days, but I will stay forever linked to Porto. I do not know what will happen in the future, I just know that I have a contract with Porto.”
