FIFA have confirmed that Nicola Rizzoli will be Italy’s refereeing representative for the 2014 World Cup.
The 42-year-old has been an official since 2002 and was chosen as the peninsula’s referee for the 2012 European Championships in Ukraine and Poland.
He will be joined by assistants Renato Faverani and Andrea Stefani for the tournament.
