World football’s governing body today announced a shortlist of 15 whistle-blowers who will be considered for the final three matches of the tournament.

There are six Europeans on the list, including England’s Howard Webb, as well as five from the Americas, two from Africa and two Asians.

It has already been confirmed that Mexican Marco Rodriguez will take charge of tomorrow night’s semi-final between Brazil and Germany, but Wednesday’s match between Holland and Argentina, as well as the third-place play-off and final, are still yet to be allocated.
