The Argentine creative midfielder has struggled to find space at San Siro and was jeered by fans after a poor performance, while he has also suffered from injuries.
“I am here for Alvarez,” declared Passarella. “Inter want to sell two players: one is Wesley Sneijder, the other could be Alvarez.
“I will meet one of their directors on Tuesday and then we’ll see what happens.”
Alvarez has also been linked with Arsenal, amongst others.
