Andrea Rispoli “had to leave Parma” when an offer came from Palermo, but Raffaele Palladino denies he’ll terminate his contract.

The club is bottom of the Serie A table and hasn’t paid any of its players or staff since July 2014.

Several stars have left by terminating their contracts – Antonio Cassano and Dias Felipe – or accepting deadline day moves for tiny fees, such as Gabriel Paletta, Nicola Pozzi, Afriyie Acquah, De Ceglie and Rispoli.

“I leave with great sadness, because it is an important group and a formidable staff capable of achieving miracles last season,” said new Palermo wing-back Rispoli.

“I hope that everything at Parma can change soon. It’s a shame to leave the club in such a difficult situation. I had to leave Parma and make other choices, as the offer came from a great club like Palermo with a Coach I already worked with.

“The first part of the season at Parma was disastrous with many mistakes and also very unlucky incidents. I wish the squad and fans all the best.”

There were reports today that Palladino would follow in the footsteps of Cassano and Dias Felipe in terminating his contract by mutual consent.

“It is not true!” wrote the striker on Twitter. “I am part of a great group and I am not going to abandon it.”
