Juventus have reportedly exercised an option to sign Sassuolo and Turkey defender Merih Demiral.

Merih joined Sassuolo from Sporting CP in January and has gone on to start 13 of the Neroverdi’s Serie A games, scoring twice against Chievo.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website writes Juve reserved a right of purchase for the 20-year-old, set at €15m.

Di Marzio explains the Old Lady have decided to take up that option after holding talks with his representative Franck Trimboli earlier in the week.
