The player underwent some medical tests yesterday evening, the results of which were reassuring.

“Pelle underwent tests for a knock on his foot sustained on Monday,” said the Italian Football Federation in a tweet. “The test results have been negative.”

Reports are now conflicting on whether he will be available to play against Sweden. The Daily Mail claims that the player is good to go, but La Gazzetta dello Sport is more doubtful.

According to the Italian newspaper, Pelle's conditions are still being observed, and he may be rested against Zlatan Ibrahimovic's team in favour of Simone Zaza. There is little to go on for the media as Coach Antonio Conte is holding all of his training sessions behind closed doors, and he cancelled even the customary first 15 minutes with the Press.
