According to reports in France, Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has decided Atletico Madrid are his favoured destination ahead of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Morocco international impressed so much at the World Cup in Qatar that his price-tag shot up and he attracted the attention of numerous top clubs.

The Viola are not eager to sell, but realise they might have to capitulate if the offers reach €50m.

There has been interest from Liverpool and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in the Premier League, but now Footmercato claim that Amrabat has given his preference to Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone is looking to rebuild his squad, having already loaned Joao Felix to Chelsea and with Rodrigo De Paul potentially on the way out too.

It remains to be seen whether Atleti can offer as much money as the Premier League sides, both in terms of the transfer fee and his salary, but Amrabat is looking towards Madrid for his future.

His contract with Fiorentina only runs to June 2024, but the club has an option to extend for another year.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina have agreed to sell Poland international midfielder Szymon Zurkowski to Spezia and he is set for a medical tomorrow morning.
