“We are optimistic and hope the deal can be finalised as soon as possible, especially as the transfer window closes on Friday.”

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims to have the final details of the agreement with Spurs.

It’s the full €20m that Tottenham have always requested and never budged from, plus a five per cent solidarity payment.

There will also be the income from a friendly match to be arranged between Inter and Tottenham for next season.

The Danish international is believed to have already emptied his locker and should fly in for a medical tomorrow.

Inter hope to make up the cash by selling Matias Vecino to Everton for €20m.
