The Express reports that the Hammers have set their sights on a shock deal for the Senegalese defender, previously linked with Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham from the Premier League.
David Moyes was recently appointed as Manuel Pellegrini’s successor at the London Stadium and the newspaper claims the board is ready to make a move for the Partenopei centre-half.
The report states that the Irons are ready “to splash money during the transfer window” to help save their season and would have to spend around £70m to bring Koulibaly to London.
The 28-year-old emerged as a transfer target also for Manchester United last summer, before they ended up signing Harry Maguire from Leicester.
West Ham are currently 16th in the Premier League and the Express claims Pep Guardiola's Man City are ready to fight them for the signature of the Senegal international.
Koulibaly has played 14 games for Napoli this season, as they are currently eight in the League and prepare to face Inter when they return from the winter break on Monday night.
