Reports in England state that Chelsea will sack Antonio Conte this week, before finally appointing Maurizio Sarri.

The Blues have been pursuing Sarri for several weeks, but he’s still under contract with Napoli despite Carlo Ancelotti’s appointment as Coach.

Following Italian reports that a €5m compensation package had been agreed, the Daily Mail believes Chelsea are on the verge of an agreement with Antonio Conte which will see him leave the club.

The Blues will pay close to €11m to terminate the contracts of the former Italy CT and his staff, before making a decisive move for Sarri.

Gianfranco Zola is set to work with the former Partenopei boss, and the newspaper reports he’s flying back from South Africa, cutting short his World Cup punditry.

The Premier League side hope to appoint Sarri this week.
