L’Equipe reports former LOSC Lille owner Gerard Lopez wants to buy Genoa from President Enrico Preziosi.
Rumours of a possible takeover of Genoa have returned and the report comes from French outlet L’Equipe.
The Rossonblu have formally been put up for sale by Preziosi for years, and former Lille owner Lopez is reportedly interested.
The report claims he’s in advanced talks to take over Southampton in the Premier League and Valencia in La Liga.
The 49-year-old is a former basketball player, with a background from the US University Championship, and between 2009 and 2015 he was the President of the Formula 1 team Lotus, where he is still a shareholder.
His investments range from technologies to the energy sector, according to the report.
