Atalanta’s Dutch full-back Hans Hateboer will reportedly undergo surgery on the microfracture in the fifth metatarsal in his homeland on Wednesday
The decision was taken last Tuesday, as the wide man struggles to recover from the microfracture, but TMW reports the date has been scheduled.
Hateboer returns to the Netherlands to undergo surgery on Wednesday, according to the report.
The Dutch defender will be out for about two to three months and Atalanta were worried about Luis Muriel’s conditions too after the opening game against Torino.
The Colombian striker was substituted after 56 minutes against the Granata, but the report claims the Orobici are not worried, and he should be available for the next match against Bologna.
Atalanta started with a 2-1 win over Torino on Saturday.
