This would be the final chapter in a chaotic 22 years in charge of the Serie A side, as Cellino focuses on new club Leeds United in England.
Cellino had announced a deal to sell to American investors last month, headed by Luca Silvestrone, but only days later claimed they were “stalling.”
He then told Sky Sport Italia that instead an agreement was struck with Italian businessman Giulini.
According to several reports this evening, Cellino met with Giulini and signed the paperwork transferring ownership of Cagliari Calcio.
An official statement is expected on Wednesday.
