Bologna are reportedly pushing to sign West Ham United midfielder and former Sampdoria man Pedro Obiang.

According to Sportitalia’s Alfredo Pedulla, talks have opened between Obiang and Bologna over a possible transfer.

The 27-year-old is no stranger to Serie A, having played for Samp between 2008 and 2015.

He has made 116 appearances for West Ham since arriving four years ago but has never truly established himself in their midfield.

Failing that, Pedulla expects the Rossoblu to turn their attentions to Velez Sarsfield’s Nicolas Dominguez.

It is shaping up to be a busy summer for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side, who have already exercised purchase options for Riccardo Orsolini, Roberto Soriano, Nicola Sansone and Danilo.

They have also signed Mattia Bani from Chievo and are close to deals for Jerdy Schouten, Stefano Denswil and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
