The website have claimed that last week’s Liga winners approached the Viola earlier in the summer to try and sign the Colombia international, and were told that only a bid of over €40m would see the wide man leave Tuscany.

As it was, Atleti deemed that to be too expensive, and opted instead for Cerci, who they bought for around €15m.

Cuadrado was also linked with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester United, but has ended up staying at Fiorentina.
