Palermo reportedly have two options to replace Bortolo Mutti at the end of the season – Edy Reja and Giuseppe Sannino.

Mutti is expected to be shown the door by fiery President Maurizio Zamparini after already axing Stefano Pioli and Devis Mangia this term.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Lazio” data-scaytid=”11″>Lazio tactician Reja is at the top of Zamparini’s shortlist. His future in Rome is in doubt given that he’s unsuccessfully tried to quit on two occasions this season.

Reja, however, is not the only candidate to step in for Mutti – if he is sacked – with Sannino winning significant praise during his first top-flight campaign with Siena.

Sannino joined the club in the summer from Varese after Juventus” data-scaytid=”34″>Juventus recruited Antonio Conte following their promotion from Serie B.

Siena President Massimo Mezzaroma recently stated that he is hoping to convince Sannino, 54, to stay at the club for 2012-13.

“Sannino deserved Serie A,” Mezzaroma noted. “He’s continued the work of Conte, but he’s also added a lot of his own ideas.

“Next season? I don’t want to start a tradition of launching tacticians and then letting them go elsewhere.

“I think that Sannino wants to stay with us for at least one more year.”
