Edy Reja hopes Lazio can “find that bit of luck we haven’t had all season” to reach the Champions League as they take on Udinese.

The Biancocelesti are clinging to third place, although Udinese, Napoli, Inter and even Roma are in the running.

“It is undoubtedly a head-to-head with Udinese and like all decisive matches can turn the campaign one way or the other for each team,” said the Coach.

“Our objective is to get on the field with the right attitude and desire. We’d really like to give some satisfaction to our fans, who are supporting us in every moment.

“There are another four games, all of them crucial. We hope to find that bit of luck we haven’t had all season. The only reason we didn’t get all three points against Lecce and Novara was incidents that didn’t go our way.”

Antonio Candreva is suspended, joining the injured Hernanes, Stefan Radu, Senad Lulic, Miroslav Klose, Marius Stankevicius, Cristian Brocchi and Stephen Makinwa.

“I hope in these final weeks of the campaign Lazio can rediscover some sharpness. What’s happening to us is a little bit like what Udinese are going through, as they are struggling to get results despite strong performances.

“I would love to reach the final match with Inter and still be in the hunt for the Champions League. We are a step away from paradise and want to give it 110 per cent to the end.”

Reja also commented on news Pep Guardiola has quit Barcelona to take a year out of football.

“I understand him perfectly well, as it’s tough to be a Coach. I appreciated the way he said goodbye to the team.”
