Edy Reja insists Lazio have “recovered” from the blow of their last-gasp defeat to Juventus and can wipe that out against Udinese.

“It was not easy to get over that loss, but now we have recovered psychologically and have the opportunity to wipe that disappointment out against Udinese,” said the Coach.

His side lost 2-1 with the last kick of the game in Turin, meaning they were caught in second place by Juve and Napoli.

“We are still in an important position and our only objective must be the victory. To end the season in second would be wonderful.

“We're almost halfway through and I must admit that we faced all the top sides on level terms, proving we deserve to be here.

“I'd say Lazio deserve eight out of 10 for their performance so far this term. We started strongly, but also got over the difficulties of last season. I always said I hoped we'd be the surprise of the campaign and so many were sceptical, but so far my wish has come true.”

Sergio Floccari is out of Sunday's match after picking up an ankle injury during a charity event, while Cristian Brocchi is also sidelined.

Lazio squad: Muslera, Berni; Biava, Del Nero, Diakitè, Dias, Cavanda, Lichtsteiner, Scaloni, Stendardo; Bresciano, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Ledesma, Matuzalem, Mauri; Foggia, Kozak, Rocchi, Zarate
