The Colombian also said he was constantly looking to fellow forward Miroslav Klose for advice as he strives to improve.
“Edy Reja has brought confidence to the club and the players really like him,” Perea told Lazio Style Radio.
“The help that a full stadium can bring is also very important for us.
“If I can’t score personally I look to help the team.
“I always talk to Klose, I look to learn a lot from him and he explains to me how to make runs.
“I like playing as a centre forward, at times in Colombia I played a bit further back.
“The fans didn’t know who I was but they have made me feel welcome.
“I do everything I can on the pitch out of respect to them.”
