As Claudio Bravo seems set for Manchester City, Sport claim Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina offered himself to Barcelona.

Pep Guardiola’s first major move of the season was dropping England international Joe Hart in favour of Willy Caballero.

He doesn’t see Caballero as his first choice either, so negotiations are widely reported at an advanced stage for Barça’s Bravo.

Now Catalan paper Sport claim Reina has offered his services to the Blaugrana, his former club, as their reserve goalkeeper.

It would be a surprising step for the 33-year-old, who is ready to take part in the Champions League with Napoli this season.

Reina grew up in the Barcelona ‘cantera’ and left for Villarreal in 2002, going on to Liverpool, Napoli and Bayern Munich.

Update: Reina himself replied to the Sport story on Twitter with this message.

"Bull! I didn't offer myself to anyone! Enough lies… Always and forever Forza Napoli!! Now let's prepare for Sunday. Clear?"
