Harry Redknapp hailed the Spurs victory over European champions Inter as “a night we will always remember.”
Tottenham had already threatened an upset in their 4-3 defeat at San Siro, but emerged with a 3-1 victory at White Hart Lane.
“That was a fantastic night's football from first to last,” he told Sky Sports. “We pressed them, we worked them, we out-played them, we created all the chances. It was an amazing performance from every single one of them.

“Great football and Luka (Modric) was brilliant again tonight, it was great build-up play and a great finish.”
Gareth Bale scored a hat-trick at San Siro and this time around created two goals, having turned Douglas Maicon inside out.
“He's amazing. The way the boy can run and run and run against a right-back who is rated by everybody as the greatest right-back in the world. What he's done over the two games has been amazing,” continued Redknapp.
“He's got great ability, it's not just his pace, he has the ability to run all day, to cross, to dribble, to shoot and head it. He's also a great lad. You couldn't get a more low-maintenance lad than him.”
Samuel Eto'o scored late on to make it 2-1 and set up a tense finale, but Roman Pavlyuchenko came off the bench to secure the points.
“We worked so hard and looked a little bit tired, I did wonder if we were going to wilt a bit. But then Gareth had that great run for the goal and Pav, who I'd been shouting at just before that to start moving around, got on the end of a great cross from Gareth to score.”
The result means Tottenham and Inter are level at the top of Group A, with Spurs ahead thanks to their superior head-to-head record.
“It's a good position for us now, but that was a big game. To be playing Inter Milan at White Hart Lane is a night we will always remember.
“For all the Tottenham fans, it's something they can always look back on and I was pleased to be a part of that. Tonight was great.”
