Inter will play six matches in 22 days after the October international break and will receive a boost in the form of Marko Arnautovic.

The 34-year-old Austrian striker, who joined the club on loan from Bologna in the summer, featured in their first five matches of the season before suffering a thigh muscle injury in the 1-0 win over Empoli on September 24.

Initial indications suggested that Arnautovic would be out of action for at least two months, making a return at the end of November likely, but things have gone better than expected in the Lombardy capital.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Arnautovic’s recovery is progressing positively, and the hope is that he’ll now be back in Simone Inzaghi’s squad for their away clash with Atalanta on November 4.

No risks will be taken with the 34-year-old striker, but it’s clear that he is ahead of schedule and will be back on the pitch ahead of the late November estimation.
