Dynamo Kiev Coach Serhiy Rebrov was “satisfied to have played on a par” with Napoli in a goalless Champions League stalemate.

The Partenopei had 17 attempts on goal, but still struggled to create many genuine chances in the dire 0-0 draw.

“We had problems with the early passages of play, as we wanted to impose our football, but the Napoli tempo was very high. We tried and failed to control the tempo,” said Rebrov in his Press conference.

“We had problems with the early passages of play, as we wanted to impose our football, but the Napoli tempo was very high. We tried and failed to control the tempo,” said Rebrov in his Press conference.

“I have regrets about the way we played, as we wanted to win here and my lads did try. Napoli deserve to be much higher up the Serie A table than sixth. Their players have the movements down to a tee and we are therefore satisfied to have played on a par with them.”

Only two points from five games means Dynamo Kiev are out of both the Champions League and the Europa League. Were there any positives for Rebrov?

“I liked the young players, as they are competitive and I am happy for the experience they gained in this Champions League group. We want motivated people here and I am happy to work with those who are motivated.

“We will give our all in the final match with Besiktas, as it is a matter of prestige for the club and the nation.”
