Real Madrid and Chelsea are at the front of the queue to sign Javier Pastore, claim Serie A outfit Palermo.

The Argentine will be sold this summer after President Maurizio Zamparini put a €50m price tag on his head.

Rumours over the last few days have suggested that Napoli could be serious contenders for his signature, but President Maurizio Zamparini has shot down that claim.

"I haven't heard from Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis for weeks," Zamparini told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "They haven't made a new approach.

"Right now, it looks as if Pastore will move abroad. Real Madrid and Chelsea are leading the race for his services.

"All the same clubs still want him."

It's understood that the two Manchester sides and Malaga are also interested in the South American playmaker.

Pastore, who Zamparini recently claimed cost him €19m in total in 2009, only turned 22 last month.
