Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia will reportedly reject more money from Norwich City in order to join Bologna.

The former captain is expected to leave San Siro in January after falling down the pecking order.

The Daily Mail suggested Norwich were prepared to pay £7m for the 27-year-old, which is considerably more than Inter would accept.

However, Sky Sport Italia and other sources in the Peninsula are confident Ranocchia doesn’t want to join the Canaries.

He’d prefer to earn less money for him and the club, but join Serie A relegation battlers Bologna.

The Rossoblu have been revived since Roberto Donadoni took over from Coach Delio Rossi and have a history of allowing players to revitalise their careers.
