Andrea Ranocchia has “been at Inter for many years, but it’s the first time I’ve seen such a united” squad under Luciano Spalletti.

The Nerazzurri crushed Chievo 5-0 to go top of the Serie A table for the first time since January 2016.

“We put in a great performance today, but nothing has been achieved yet, so we’ve got to keep pushing and all make ourselves useful for the team,” the defender told Mediaset Premium.

“I’ve seen all sorts at Inter over the years, but I have never seen such a united group. Even those who don’t play regularly ensure they are ready when called upon.

“Spalletti is great because he treats absolutely everyone the same way. It doesn’t matter who you are or what your salary is, we are all treated the same.

“I’ve been at Inter for many years and it’s the first time I’ve seen the locker room like this. I’ve been out for most games, so I’m the best person to tell you about that.

“Everyone knows what they’re doing know, we’re in good shape physically, work well with the ball, but there’s a long road ahead and we’ve got to keep it going. When things don’t go our way, we must retain this same unity.”
