Andrea Ranocchia was “bitter” after Inter’s 4-2 defeat to Roma, but explained the change of system is tougher than expected.
“It leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, as twice we had the game back on track and everyone knows how tough it is to do that here against a great side,” the captain told Sky Sport Italia.
“Even on a bad night, we did some good things, the Coach only just arrived, so we need time to work and adapt.

“Even on a bad night, we did some good things, the Coach only just arrived, so we need time to work and adapt.
“We have to take Roma’s quality into account. We changed system and it’s difficult to immediately adapt all the movements after a year and a half.
“It’s a very different thing for a defender with four at the back rather than three. That can only be achieved by working in training and getting those movements down.
“We played every three days this week, so haven’t had as much time to work in training. We have a long week this time round, so hope to make the most of it.”
Ranocchia scored a rare goal on the night, but said he’d “rather never be on target if it meant the team winning.”
