Valencia have reportedly agreed terms with Milan after Adil Rami blasted the Spanish club on Twitter.
The defender had been on loan since January and was determined to remain at San Siro, but the negotiations have dragged on for months.
Milan refused to pay the original €7m buy-out clause, then Rami agreed to take a €0.5m pay-cut in order to push the deal through at €4.25m.
On Thursday it appeared to be all done when Valencia suddenly decided they wanted the sum in cash immediately rather than over three instalments.
Rami took to Twitter in order to vent his frustration at the President. “What’s happening is extraordinary. The first time in the history of football. Bravo Amadeo Salvo.
“At the moment, I have to go back to train with Valencia.”
He also retweeted messages from a Valencia fan who said “thank you for proving Salvo is bad for the club.”
However, on Saturday morning it was reported on Sky Sport Italia and the Gazzetta dello Sport that Valencia agreed a payment plan over three instalments.
