Rai has kept its domestic television rights to the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana for the next three years.
It was confirmed on Monday that Rai won the auction for the 2018-21 Coppa rights with a bid of €35.5m – 60 percent more than what the state broadcaster paid previously and €2.5m greater than Mediaset’s offer.
However, there is still no news on the TV rights for Serie A, with the Court of Milan expected to reach a verdict on Sky’s challenge to block Mediapro’s proposed purchase on Tuesday or Wednesday.
