Inter could be back in for Rafinha in January after reports he turned down a new Barcelona contract and was angry at the Betis deal collapsing.

Rafinha was on loan at San Siro from January to June 2018, scoring two goals with three assists in 17 Serie A appearances.

He wanted to make the move permanent, but the Barcelona asking price of over €40m was beyond the Nerazzurri’s means.

The Brazilian was on the verge of another switch to Real Betis, but that collapsed just before the transfer deadline.

Now Calciomercato.com suggest Rafinha is turning down a new contract at Camp Nou, hoping to force through a January exit.

His current deal runs to June 2020, which is why Barcelona didn’t want to send him out on loan with option to buy.

In order to avoid possibly losing the midfielder as a free agent, they could be open to a loan with obligation to buy from Inter.
