Cristiano Habetswallner, head of the cup's chief sponsor TIM, has revealed why he chose the singer: “We wanted to defuse the tension that surrounds the game,” he told the newspaper.
“We want to turn the match into a show, that's why we chose a character who is close to people. Our target audience are young people, and he is very well-known amongst children.”
