Napoli are only prepared to let Pepe Reina join Paris Saint-Germain for €15m, but see Geronimo Rulli or Orestis Karnezis as his replacement.

The club has been silent so far on the on-going reports of PSG offering €5-6m plus another €1m in bonuses and the loan of Alphonse Areola.

According to Sportitalia and Rai Sport, the Partenopei are ready to let the 35-year-old leave for €15m cash.

They are well aware this is a huge sum to ask, but that is their plan for keeping Reina, at least until a suitable replacement has been found.

Maurizio Sarri does not seem to be interested in Areola or Kevin Trapp, so the short-list has only two names on it.

The first is Argentine Rulli, who would cost €20m plus €5m in bonuses from Real Sociedad, but also requires the all-clear from his old club Manchester City due to a clause in his contract.

Another alternative is Udinese shot-stopper Karnezis, who has been linked with Napoli since the start of the summer.

The Greek international turned down a series of other moves, above all to England for Newcastle United or Crystal Palace, because he believes the call will come in eventually.
